Job Description
We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Program Manager in Business Development. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capture business opportunities both locally and internationally, manage HR matters related to project execution, and handle internal and external stakeholder relationships. The role involves a strong emphasis on Health Analytics in the private sector and public sector projects funded by multilateral organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate potential business opportunities to create a robust pipeline of projects, both locally and internationally.
- Develop, write, and submit high-quality proposals across multiple sectors while achieving key performance indicators.
- Develop an outreach strategy and execute it. Conduct outreach to potential clients via LinkedIn and other professional networks, with a particular focus on Health Analytics in the private sector.
- Create compelling presentations for proposals and stakeholder meetings, using strong analytical skills to communicate complex data effectively.
- Manage public sector project proposals, particularly those funded by multilateral organisations such as the World Bank, Gates Foundation, UNDP, etc., in areas like public health, education, social development, government technical assistance, market research, and fieldwork.
- Recruit necessary staff for won projects, handling all HR-related matters, and ensuring a smooth handover to the delivery team.
- Support the project delivery teams in the smooth execution of projects, providing assistance as necessary.
- Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, managing their expectations, and ensuring effective communication.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIS)
- Number of donor-based opportunities identified.
- Number of donor-based proposals submitted.
- Number of potential private sector clients reached out to.
- Number of potential private sector opportunities identified.
- Number of private sector proposals submitted.
- Success rate for both private sector and donor-based proposals.
