About the Role
Art makes you feel something; design makes you do something. A great Graphic Designer combines brand standards, color theory, graphic elements, and typography and makes audiences do both. This role requires a strong background in design theory, hands-on skills in the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite, and a portfolio that spans various styles and industries.
The Graphic Designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. You will design (or create) graphics to meet specific cross team needs, such as illustrations, or imagery for print and digital uses including banner ads, social media posts, website graphics, product graphics, etc. Added skillset to produce simple animations would be an added plus.
You will use a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects and often select the type, font, size, color, and line length of headlines, headings, and text. You will also decide how images and text work together in a specific layout. You will collaborate closely with Content Managers and collaborate with members across growth and product teams.
You will transform statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams, creating infographics, which can make complex ideas more accessible.
